Looking good. I just got a TRUE yesterday and did small FFT's over night. Didn't crack 60C on a Q6600 @ 3.4ghz w/ 1.4v. Curious on your before/after temps.

OCCT 30 min test

With the stock cooler running at 3.2 MHz

Core 1 max at 54c

Core 2 max at 56c

TRUE lapped

Core 1 max at 45c

Core 2 max at 46c

Thats a good 10c drop. :D

Idle temps are the same 27c and 33c with the MB reporting 28c.

I'll lap my E6750 when I get my new Antec 900 or Stacker 830.

Very nice! Looks like in your case lapping was definitely worth it.

Don't really know because I never installed the TRUE before lapping it. But if you look at the first two pictures you can see the line showing that my TRUE wasn't truely flat. Not at all!!

man... i'd definitely cut out the mesh that blocks out your rear exhaust fan. It will keep things even quieter plus move tons more air.

Good idea! Anyone else done this? Pictures?

i did that on my antec 900. it really helps with cooling and lowers the noise level a good deal. i just used a pair of tin snips to cut it off

also the rubber fan screw thingies help a lot to lessen noise

Does anyone have the Push/Pull setup on there TRUE? Do you have any before and after results?

I had a push/pull setup on my true until I found out that it was pointless and didnt drop temps any further.
