http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6ny1bNnobU i'm presently running the card passive because my fan didnt come in yet. clocks are 625/800. temps are 32 idle and 75 load. i will post pics and oc clocks when i get my fan in; should come in 3 days.

any low rpm 120mm fan will drop the load to like 45-55C or so depending on your case cooling and game.

odd you had to mod it a bit, should have full compatibility :S

looks awesome

Nice temps compared to my 92c under load with the stock cooler. So how well does the core overclock now :D Give it your best shot

Btw, only 800 on the memory? isn't 900 stock, mine was at least.

Mine also had over 95deg C under stock cooler. I replaced it with TT Volcano 12+, not much better, around 65deg C under load (base of this cooler simply isnt sufficient for such heatload).

Now i installed Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 with two quiet 1300rpm fans (Papst), temperatures never surpas 52-53degC even with 1.5Vgpu @ 720/980 with tight mem timings.

Now try to beat my results ;)

I can't decide whether or not to buy an aftermarket cooler/mod a c2d intel heatsink. I don't really mind the noise from the fan when I play games as long as it's quiet in 2d. The gain in MHz doesn't seem to be that big anyway.

I'm planning to get a 30" lcd next summer so I need a new gfx card in any case...

i underclocked my ram cuz i'm running passive. i ordered a Scythe Slip Stream Kaze Jyuni 120MM Fan 1600RPM 88.1CFM 33DBA. its not in yet cuz its on back order. i'll look around for a spare 120 and try some ocing. im going to use ATI try tools cuz i can increase the core voltage if i hit a wall. my goal is 700/970.

Only 963 on the mem, did you tighten the timings? should be 1ns after all which corresponds to 1GHz.
Nice core speed and temps

after a while of playing the system crashes. i lowered pci ex freq to 105 with same results. if i was to higher the gpu voltage, how high should i go?

I ran mine at 1.52v which was enough for 730mhz on stock cooling. 65c loaded with BIOS flashed for more aggressive fan speed settings and higher default voltage and mhz.

after playing 2 hours of MAXXED OUT FEAR, at 702 core and 999mem with 1.425 gpucore i hit a max of 45 degrees (all fans on max approx 110db!!) i averaged 53 FPS online. my voltage regs were pulling 30.0 amps at 50+ degrees. i think i'm happy with my current voltages. i think the max of this card would be 1.6v
