---- First of all, I want to apologize for the question which may have been asked many times already, but:

I have an issue with my motherboard (P5K PREM, works awful with WD drives). I have to change it in a couple of days, so I heard that they are expecting a new shipment of MAXIMUS FORMULA boards in my local shop tommorow. So I wonder if these are some new revision, which has less problems? I'm worrying, cause I read a few weeks\months ago, that people are having problems with DDR2 X38 boards, but I'm not sure, how is the situation at the moment.
So should I get one of these MAXIMUS FORMULAs or for example a X38-DQ6 instead, or maybe some more stable P35 board? What do you think?

I'll be using it with Q6600 and 2x1GB 1066Mhz first, later with 4 sticks of 1 GB, and I'm going to have RAID also. Some of the X38 boards had RAM issues, but I don't know whether they still have? Maybe new BIOS releases are better?

---- I'm searching for the best replacement of my board for these parts, price is not important?
Need some advice, please! :)

What issues are you having with your WD drives and the board ?
I have the same combo working fine here non raid.

P35 will offer you the best stability/performance right now. I'd only go to X38 if you need DDR3.

I also have the WD bug (Samsung also)

The computer go crazy when you plug a WD disk :(

It took me a while to find a good batch of seagate HDD but the 500GB Sata2 32MB are great and silent like the WD RE2 I'Ve never been able to use.

Im using an Asus P5E X38 board with a WD 320 and have no trouble what so ever. Before this I was using an Abit P35 Dark Raider board that overclocked well but had seem much less stable.

I'm using currently 2 boards, a Maximus (with a 74gb raptor plus 2 x320 WD drives) and an IP35 Pro (with a 250gb WD drive).

Never experienced a single prob with them.
