Hi all, I have been noticing a strange bug in Firefox 2.0.0.11 where links and other text are being displayed in wrong color. Anyone else got this bug or is it just me?
I hope this gets fixed soon cause its annoying me to the point of having to use IE and we don't that to happen do we now :p:

here are screenshots which compare both so you know what I mean:

I also haven't seen this problem. Going to sherdog.com gives me the yellow text.
Have you checked the bugzilla db for this and/or submitted a bug report? Does it happen consistently?

There is a problem on your end. Try setting you XP theme to the any of the stock ones. (Don't know if you are using a third party one) I went to the same sites that you showed and I get the correct colors.

Firefox might not be playing right with some setting or driver (I doubt a driver problem). :)

I do actually use the Royale theme
however now i changed it back to ugly blue standard winxp theme and even re-installed ff but its still no good. Ill keep trying something different.
Something is just wrong with ff though I've had this setup for years and it only showed this problem after 2.0.0.11

I just noticed that my Office Word has the same problem.. could this be something related to my graphics card driver?

im puzzled now

Try this:

http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Web+site+colors+are+wrong

Try "Web sites not allowed to use their own colors," and "Windows settings."

The support site isn't the best place. :(

Ya Like that don't ya:D Seriously though I have troubleshot and oislotated this very issue because it was bothering the hell out of me! Its a problem that is Present "Only" in Firefox and not in IE caused by CATALYST 7.12 Drivers when in use with a "Single" HD 3000 Series Card But not present with 2 of them running in Crossfire. I have also further Validated it being Isolated to CAT 7.12 & 3000 series cards as it is not present with my XT1950 XTX:yepp:

Thanks man, I was suspecting it was something to do with graphics as sometimes when u shade a word, it goes back to normal color then after a few secs goes wrong again.
catalyst 8.1 should come soon but I guess its 7.11 for now

Yeah it's a Cat 7.12 and Firefox thing. Also have a 2900.

Fx 2.0.0.11 is a buggy build. 2.0.0.9 may be much better. 2.0.0.11 has been crashing randomly for many users anyway.

Actually I forgot to mention I notice it one other place outside of Firefox-the white "Welcome" on light blue background that XP displays right before it loads the desktop is outlined in red (auto-login atm). Wierd. My maroon name here is displayed to me in dark blue (which I kind of like but that's beside the point).

Try v2.0.0.10: http://filehippo.com/download_firefox/?3494

Works fine for me.
The problem of inverted colors is present in Fx 2.0.0.11 with ATi 2000/3000 series cards and Catalyst 7.12 display driver, AFAIK.

After my computer loads into win XP i see the Welcome screen for a few seconds. The shadow of these letters are also messed up, so cat7.12 doesn't only affect Firefox.

Yes I reported this too but haven't noticed it anywhere else. What's worse I just completed a build last night for a guy with a 3850, installed Cat 8.1 and Firefox from getfirefox.com and the bug exists on this system too

:shakes:

Just use firefox 3 beta 2 unless if you can't live without your extensions, I personally like it a lot (especially on the memory consumption side)

Well I just confirmed also happens in Cat 8.1. And it's also not just Firefox, though only the stupid XP "Welcome" as well.

Cool, though, Ill try 2.0.0.10 so I don't have to explain to this guy why his browser colors are off.

Thanks
