We have some E8xx cpus on market, but not every board can run it fully!

Please post your results ...

Asus Striker Extreme - OK, fully working
Asus P5N32-SLI - Not working, only multi 6x
Gigabyte P35-DQ6, DS5, S3 - OK, fully working
Asus P5N-SLI - Not working, only multi 6x

I will try on my p5k vanilla when my e8400 arrives in 2 days...hopefully should work as it does on a p5k3...not even going to try my biostar p35, lol...

since most mobo’s support them, try to pick any one that you like then check if it supports them

Also could you post which bios you're using with your board? That would probably be helpful too.

Any P35(also G versions)/X38 mb, some asus 965 boards too with bios updates

Abit IP35 PRO (From bios 1.2 onwards) (Latest stock ships with bios 1.4) :)

Some of the recent Biostar P35 BIOSes have added 45nm support (as states in the release notes) so it might be worth trying.

Works on asus p5k vanilla any bios after 603 (603 will not work).

I just picked up a few E8400's today. What is the best bios for the Striker Extreme to support 45nm Wolfdales?
