Hi guys!

NEW VERSION: 0.99b
Official homepage (http://www.virgilioborges.com.br/virgilioborges/hyperpi/)

I'm developing a Super PI 1.5 front-end called Hyper PI for test purposes on multi-processor environments (stability or benchmark).

http://www.virgilioborges.com.br/virgilioborges/imgs/hyper_pi.png

Run multiple instances of SPI (one for each processor) and configure the priority of the process easily (without Task Manager).
Take a snapshot of all instances at anytime with only one click!

It's beta and need some beta-testers. So, if you wanna try, please download it:
Hyper PI 0.99 Beta (http://www.virgilioborges.com.br/virgilioborges/hyperpi/hyper_pi_0.99b.zip)
Hyper PI 0.99 Beta [Mirror] (http://home.pages.at/virgilioborges/hyper_pi_0.99b.zip)

No instalation needed. No virus, spywares or adwares. Includes Super PI 1.5 MOD XS (original untouched).

Thank you!

very useful. Thanks :D

But the snapshots are empty. It generates 1 MB .bmp files, but i can´t see any thing.

tried it with following hw:

E6550
2GB DDR2
Gigabyte N650i Mainboard
Win xp sp2

tool works fine, selection of how many you want to run at once works, time is identical to running spi without hyperpi (within usual error margin), snapshots worked for me.

nice tool, only improvement i can think off is changing snapshots to a less size intense file format.

great idea and a job well done:up:

Nice app, only problem I have with it is that it won't stop until the run is completed..

very cool, seems to work quite well

thanks for changing the snapshots to png

[edit]
as above, i would also like to have the ability to stop the calculation while running - incase one of the instances fail
if i press stop now, the calculations carry on till the end before displaying blank windows

Awesome. Working fine for me. Two Vista Ult systems. One QX9650 780i SLI system and another Q6600 on P35 system.

looks great. Do you think that you could include a feature that makes a file that shows you what the computer calculated. like 3.14159265....... to a file in a folder?

And yes, the Vista compatibility switch does make a difference. Thanks for the hard work.

Thank you. I had to stop using SPI as my preliminary stability test since going to Vista64, would always crash, the vista compatibility tweak made it work great.

Hi,

Program hangs just like superpi_mod on my Vista 64 (sp1 rc)

super_pi_mod.exe has stopped working. A problem cause the program to stop working correctly. Windwos wil close the program and notify you if a solution is available
The regular superpi has no problems with running my machine.

edit: Sorry :fact: I need to take a better look before talking :spam: Did not look a the Audio thing

I have downloaded the latest one and it works like a charm.

Try version 0.99b (http://www.virgilioborges.com.br/virgilioborges/hyperpi/hyper_pi_0.99b.zip).

Thank you!

Gave this a try on vista x64 running as administrator. It loads but when I hit start it gives error -unable to load superpi. Any idea what may be causing this. I can run the superpi.exe okay when I select it.

Hey man

I think this REALLY has potential. But can you maybe consider having like 2 windows for dual instances? And maybe show the averaged result BEFORE it returns to the main screen, i.e. when the loops + checksum are still showing.

Keep up the great work

I noticed that in .99 if it errors out (not sqr, or any other error), it won't show the summary at the end (I have to click stop). Would it be possible to have it suppress the errors and at the end of the run, say what cores got an error?

Super Pi is a handy primary stability tester. With my DFI board, I can set my GTLs, so I do multiple Hyper Pi runs with all procs loaded and mark down where the errors are. I can do a few (or a lot) or runs, then tune accordingly.

Yes, it's possible.

I'm working on it and trying to solve some incompatibilities with Vista x86 and x64.

Next release will come with a new feature called "Stress mode" - allow to run sucessive Super PI tests (N times, where N can be infinite).

stress mode sounds awesome !

That would be cool. If it was automated, I could run 50 runs, and then see if it's a die error or a NB error.
