Just wondering if anyone knows if a stock x1900xt cooler with work on a 3850 256mb video card.
I got my x1900xt back from rma and i always liked the cooler on it, the 3850 stock cooler isnt that great. Before I try replacing the coolers I would like to know if anyone else has tried it.

You like the stock x1900 cooler? My God, you must be the only person on the planet to do so!
It may be slightly too long, as the mounting holes on the x3800 cards are in a different location on the board compared to the x1900 cards. I know this because I tried to fit a x1950xtx cooler (which is far, far, far superior to the x1900 cooler) to my 3870 and had to hacksaw off about 1cm of plastic trim from the cooler. However, it still didn't fit, as the heatpipe on the cooler interfered with the stock RAM sink.
My suggestion would be to go with an Arctic Cooling Accelero S1, which is cheap and performs brilliantly. This is what I am doing.

If your mobo is the one in the article below then it should work with the Turbo Module. Two Zalman vf900s might be the best overall bet though.
