Questions for Mountainmod Owners

I have two questions.

1. How loud are the MM cases since 3 or 6 120mm fans are positions in the front?

2. Has anyone here tried to get a customized MM case that has 1 or 2 triple radiators positioned in the rear or bottom of the case? This would appear like a more quiet solution to noise pollution

I don't have one but did a lot of research into their cases. Noise levels are subjective. IF the case has 2 PA 120x3 rads in it, running low speed good quality fans I don't see how it would be any louder than any other case. Running 6 120mm fans on low is always quieter than any case fans on medium or high. Putting the rads in the back really won't make any difference in sound levels. The cases are so large you really don't have them 3' away from your normal sitting area. If you had non-Thermochill rads and 6 fans on high, then yep, it's gonna be noisy no matter what you do. Their cases are hole cut for PA rads.

I don't think the noise is a function of the rad's but which fans you choose to use.....

I run 6 yate loons on a fan bus on my 2 x 120.3 rads at the front of my case and they are very quiet indeed.
The new MM case`s you can move the panels around to your need`s so i would say is email them with your spec`s and they will sort you out. :)

I agree. The Thermo rads are designed to run low/med fans. Using low fans they outclass any other rad. Well made, copper insides, can't be beat. When I go water it will be Thermo or nothing. Ohh the cost...Doesn't help that the $$ is dropping like a rock either.

Thanks guys. I don't plan on building one anytime soon. I'm trying to collect information so when I do, I can just buy everything w/ no hassle. I'm still working on Ocing my q6600, so probably by the time I upgrade, the 8core cpus will be on the market.

Seems like I'll have to drop some major cash on cooling ( about a grand) to set up a dual pa 120.3 set up in an MM case. A lot of money although I can re-use everything, so its a worthwhile investment.

I've been happy w/ my swiftech rad. Its the first one I've used that wasn't form a kit. It does appear that the thermochill are well worth the cash, just too bad they cost almost 3x the amount of the swiftech.

my mm case will be here hopefully this week or next week so i can let you know how loud it is with yate loons. i ordered a horizon with duality front and have pa120.3 and pa120.2 radiators.

i have 6 on front 3 on side and 4 on back for a total of 13 and there cheap galaxy fans so a little noise but not bad it fades as time goes by and if you have speakers going its not even there.

I got my case today, and it was missing the whole accesories package! I can't even put the thing together until next week and its friday :(
