after my disasterous time with the Dlink DIR-655... I just came back to my old router.
it works to get my PC and 360 online.
however that wasnt easy...
now I have 1 more problem.
now I cant get the 360 and PC to work together anymore.
both are set up for it, but the router just isnt letting me stream anything.
I have no idea where to start to get that working...

Is the xbox seeing the PC, or vice versa?

see if upnp is turned on, on your router and turn it off.

PC sees the 360 just fine.
360 doesnt see the PC - it doesnt show up in the PC list like normal.

You are using WMP11? You can try tversity (very handy to encode video in realtime so the 360 can play it).

Now you have changed router is to possible that your pc has changed its ip address and your firewall rules are now invalid?

I tried that once.
Never got it to work.
Same with Connect360.
Mac saw Xbox 360, Xbox 360 didnt see Mac, then like 5 minutes of leaving the search screen alone, it came up, and they couldn't connect.
Xbox 360 has been funky lately.

are they on the same subnet? Juding by the fact that the PC can see the 360 I would guess they are, but its a valid question.
secondly, are you using the media extender program on the PC to connect to the 360?

yep, thats the easiest way I found to get it to work.
just dont like how clutterd up media center is.

honestly I wouldnt even know where to look for that kinda stuff.
I've always just left windows firewall alone.
I've rarely had trouble with it.

I'll check on that in a minute.

just windows media player 11's media extender options.
it works pretty good in the past, just cant get it to work at the moment.
