I currently have the Thermalright 120A, not lapped. My current load temps are around 63C per core @ 3760Mhz @ 1.61v with a closed case. Opened case drops around 2-3deg.
Is it worth it to get the Extreme? Any idea what the load temp difference would be?
Also, any idea how many degrees i'd drop if i lap my current 120A? Will another fan on the heatsink make any difference? (push or pull?)
I would've gone for the Extreme in the first place but they don't have it in stock anywhere in my country and didn't want to order from abroad...
Here's a pic of my current setup btw.

No, you don't need to upgrade.
Your HS is fine.
Maybe you could set it with push-pull and stronger fans.
I have the non-extreme too...

You can check Anandtech's CPU cooler roundup. They have the exteme vs non-extreme, and the difference is 1C.
If you lap it, you will get from 0-5C, depending on how bad your stock surface is.
If I were you, I would lap the TRU120, lap the CPU IHS, apply AS5, and mount it in push-pull with 2 stronger 70+CMF fans (120x38mm for ex).
I believe then, you can expect a 5-10C better temps.

63C?? That seems a bit high. I would lap if the heat sink base is too concave. That and use a really good themal compound if your not already.
I'm getting 51-55C @ 3.6Ghz @ 1.5V. TRUE 120 w/ MX-2, case closed, and crappy Antec 900 case fan:

@ Rob94hawk
Is your 8800gt passive cooled?
If so, that is not a good idea. Even though HR-03gt is a good HS, if there is not enough air moving arround through its fins, it will get hot. Also, your HR-03gt is almost touching your PSU, and that will make it even hotter. Move your vidcard to the first PCI-e slot, and mount a good, strong 120mm fan on it.
I get 65C per core on my setup, but that is with a quadcore B3, so we can't compare to his dualcore...
I would say, ~55C is what he should be getting @ his o/ced settings.
BTW, all of my stuff is lapped.

I'm currently using AS5. I will get my behind to some auto store and buy some sandpaper once this 1-1.5meters of snow we have here clears (can't even leave the house :D). What is the best thermal compound i can use for it?

Liquid Pro is the best thermal compound but it is expensive and can be hard to get hold of. Liquid pro is partly responsible for my great load temps.

Damn! I just read some reviews and there were temp differences of 6-10C in load with the Liquid Pro. I'm so gonna get it if i can find it in my country :) Will also lap the heatsink.
Is this it btw? http://www.coollaboratory.com/en/product_pro.shtml
Thanks mate :)

Those temps are high IMO. I'm running a Q6600 with my TRUE and @ 3.6ghz the highest the 4 cores hit is around 62'c with a very quiet 1700rpm 64cfm NMB-MAT Scythe fan.

Very quiet is a 12cm fan at ~1000rpm what ever cfm/brand.
As for the guy here you have too much vcore that is why you are having
such temps.
Keep it at 1.45-1.5 for air drop your overclock a bit and you will be at 50max.
