sweeet.
I think the Ti4400 I cooked had GC2A's on it that did 710 @ stock voltage or something... seems familiar 8-)
oooh, fun! If I weren't busy I would drop the 9700 in right now...

STEvil...not to nit-pcik, but why the low score with that Ti4400 in yer sig?
I get over 15k with a 4200...was it a poor performer?
***EDIT***
Nevermind STEvil..I did a compare and saw why. My bad bro.

How do you like that monitor? 19" is that LCD or Pure Flat with Multisync, or Trinitron, what triple beam method does IBM use?

None of the above/no clue 8-)
Its not flat, not an LCD, and not trinitron as far as I can tell (hate the line thing the trinitrons do), just a normal SVGA monitor that happens to do 1600x1200x32 @ 79.2hz with powerstrip, heh.

I've always been afraid to OC my monitor, that's a risky business. But ian't PowerStrip the best overclcoking utility on the Planet! I love that program, been using it for three years straight. I gets better score then anything else I've tried. Except that SoftR 9800 mod that was around, and now I can't find it. It made the card look as if it was a true 9800? Which I'm getting soon, oh boy.:D

I've come across 2 problems... 8-(
1: If I overclock the core on this card (might be im going too far, but come on, 350, too far??) it tries to default to 108/300 on reboot... and the ram only seems to do 310 anyways.
2: If I have powerstrip started and click outlook express to check my email, my computer will reboot in about 25 seconds (outlook locks up) and say it had a drawing error or some crap as soon as the puter is back into windows... 8-(
Maybe I should tear it apart and lap the shim down a bit..... could be the contact kinda sucks.

Is the power supply plugged into a Hard Drive and then into the card? Try a dirct line to the card, it wont hurt it. When I first got my 9700, I had stability problems until I fed the card directly. In fact I don't know why they provide a connector on the line and have it feed off another device. I wouldn't take the fard and lap it ro do anything that would violate the return policy. If it's acting this strange I'd RMA it. But I'll try to figure out what's happaneing. Can you reiterate the exact error message again?
In fact I would be grateful is someone could explain to me why the card's are designed this way?

Here is the error message, and it only goes into the infinit loop error when Anisotropic Filtering is enabled... but games dont seem to care, just windows (Outlook express, mozilla, internet explorer so far).
I'll move the power connector at next reboot.. my case is big, but its a b* to dig around for power cables, lol 8-)
On a sad note - this thing overclocks like a pos so far.

I had a friend that had same thing happen with a card of his.
We got tired of trying all kinds of things so we just reflashed the danged bios, and voila....worked gr8 ever since.
