8800gtx 690-1000 up to 741-1100 w/vmod

win xp pro

3dm06 score is 14k :down:
3dm05 :down:
3dm03 is 50k :down:
3dm01 well i forget but it sucks :down:

aquamark is 26k;)

what am i missing for my scores to be low in 03, 01, 06 and 05 scores low

There is something very wrong here. I get higher than that with a Q6600 @ 4Ghz and a single 8800GTX @ only 648/2000 (about 15k)

What temps is the card getting to? It may be throttling or it may be starved of voltage at the speeds you are running it if the temps are OK. And what drivers are you using?

the card is on water so temps range up to 40c

im using whatever the latest drivers are

ive reinstalled and 3dmark and drivers and no change

this throttling though that just may be. im to tired of working on this thing to want to do a v-mod!! right now

It ain't that low guys, it's a single card setup. Have you tweaked your display driver at all?

If you're running high quality and app controlled AA & AF turn them to high performance and off respectively. Also disable v-sync in the driver panel.

If you've already done this then maybe try driver clean?

These aren't stock speeds. Your first post says 5ghz quad and GTX at 690/1000 scores 14k. Your 3D mark screeny shows cpu at 4.5ghz? Now you're saying at default? That's a third dif speed.

So...shall we start over?

What is your STOCK score, as in EVERYTHING stock and default settings?

this is what i ment i run 3dmark @ default settings for score on hwbot and for sh*ts and giggles

I'd be a idiot if i ware complaning about 14k if the 3dmark settings were jacked up

and yes 14k 3dm06 sucks with a 5gig quadcore

Check your PCI-E speed, make sure its at 16x.

i dont mess with the rivatuner LOD stuff because i just dont understand the lod stuff yet

so why would the mobo be switching back and forth from 8x and 16??

there isnt a bios option on the maximus formula S.E to lock the pci-e to 18x right?

I get over 15K with a a q6600 at 3.825ghz... sadly my 8800GTX doesn't clock as high as yours mate...

Her's my run at 3.825Mhz and GTX at 650/1512/2000... I lock my PCI-E speed at 101, maybe you can try that (if you didn't already)

bios is the most recent

i have my gfx card volt modded thats why it clocks to 741mhx on gpu

im thinking it would be better to get a g92 gpu they seem to clock much higher
