C1 in the manual says Memory error, but my memory works fine..

What can i do? It doesn't get past C1 at all, no matter what i've tried:(

i flashed to 1/29/03 bios using the ALT-F2 method, and it showed up fine, but once it rebooted.. it doesn't get anywhere

It may not be your problem but a while back i was getting a mem error (c1) code & it drove me crazy. i tryed everything. then i removed & reseated the memory & no more problem. good luck.

Have you reset CMOS yet?

Yup C1 is memory detection problems. Whenever I got C1-C3 problems it was memory timings/overclock. Another thing is that you have to clear the CMOS, Insert won't work because the system can't use the memory to decompress the BIOS from the BIOS chip into main memory for execution as it does normally.

haha, do you have to ask?? :p:

and yes, reseating the memory/swapping out sticks was the 2nd thing i did!

i think the problem came from my RAM timings being TOOO tight.

i had them at 2-2-2-7 on a stick of Twinmos PC3200 BH-5 (easily takes it), and also a stick of Crucial PC2100 (which now i know, can't)
