I don't know if I'm going to be much help, but I wanted to say welcome and give your post a bump.

Have you tried booting in safe mode?

:welcome: :welcome: :welcome: :welcome: :welcome:

That sounds like the boot menu - which is normally F10 or F12 - very odd.

Hopefully one of the Windows gurus will chime in soon.

my Cousin just dropped by and passed me his WinXP 32bit disc, I hope everything goes fine.

If it worked, I wonder if I should install the driver =,= , since now I have some phobia with installing Drivers since it would Crash the crap out of my whole system

Which device drivers do you suspect of causing the problem?

i guess the problem would be the rams ?

I've read somewhere saying that if the drivers are installed on the Same RAM thingy, it will cause the computer to Hang.

according to him, i can check the problem via Run> msinfo32 > Hardware Resources> Conflicts/Sharing

I don't understand. Are you creating a ram drive and installing windows and/or drivers to the ram drive? That should give you an invalid boot drive error message on start up since the ram drive is created by the operating system and gets wiped out when you reboot.

I can't thing of any conflicts that would be caused by ram (i.e., dram memory as opposed to hard drive or other non-volatile storage). If you didn't make any changes to the bios, you shouldn't be getting any conflicts.

The last thing that occurs to me is that your trying to install the operating system on a flash drive, but it doesn't sound like that's it.

What drivers are they specificaly... they may be old try downloading new ones from your mobo site.

Also what spec are your ram for volts they may be undervolted...default is 1.8 on mobo some ram need 2.0v or higher to run(mine run at 2.3v) If so they will crap out during boot.
We have the same mobo so I might be able to get you through this.....hehehe...maybe!

Im not sure what driver causes the problem, i install the Intel Chipset, Soundmax , Marvell Yukon, Realtek and then I restart my computer and It would hang

my ram are Corsair 1x 2GB CL4 Rams

I need to know the speed and voltage required...I believe these need 2.1 volts to operate correctly your mother board default is 1.8 volts wich means under load they will fail. If thats what it is its an easy fix. Reboot and hold the delete key down this will take you into your bios change voltage to 2.1 and your good to go.

Sorry talking about the Ram

And its not the drivers as I just loded them a few days ago...realy think your ram is undervolted. Is this a new build? If its not voltage try each stick of ram seperatly in the slot closest to the cpu.

Let me know ...Im sure ill get you up and running soon.

Yes, Its brand new

Mind telling me how should I increase the volt ?which part in the bios, I haven flash my bios to the latest version tho.

sry if im talking stupid because im only 12

and I know age shouldn't be an excuse, but i seriously lack of PC knowledge / Troubleshooting.

P/S : sorry for the late reply, i just went to eh dentist to check my teeth

Do the drivers one at a time to rule that out.

F8 is the boost menu on P5K IIRC, you must hit F8 just after POST finishes, very small windows/pretty stupid on Asus' behalf. But that's the way to do it.

Age doesn't matter no time like the present to learn.

Ok step by step: Reboot and hold delete key down this will take you to your Bios.

Once your there use your arrow keys and go to advanced. Then press enter.

You will see a long list of things - scroll down with the arrow key until you get to DRAM VOLTAGE

Press enter you will see a list of voltages, scroll with the arrow keys until you get to 2.10 v . Press enter

Now press F10 and press enter

Your system will now reboot with the new setting and should work fine.

Also print this screen for reference or rite it down

Post back with your results Ill be up for a while.

lol, theres no DRAM Voltaage

only got DRAM Frequency, DRAM Command Rate, DRAM Timing Control, DRAM Static Control Read.

is it because my BIOS is still old ?

Hold on let me check my bios I do totalt manual Ill try stock and see where were at.

Ok Im Bad my mistake ...go to bios like it says above ..go to advanced go down to first one - AI overclocking and change it to manual and then go to DRAM VOLTAGE

Ive always changed that to manual the first time im in the bios for O/C ing
