I have a crazy e2140, very O/C-able.
Works perfectly on fsb 390 (on Prime95 about 6 hours) Vcore with exact VID 1,3125 (1,40 set on bios , and 1,3125 in load).
Boot perfectly on fsb 440 and upped up to fsb457 with SetFsb.
He wants NO MORE than this prag, trying fsb 460 the mouze freeze and must restart.
I tried also 7X and 6X multiplier, same result no more than 457 fsb
My question is, 457FSB is CPU wall or Mb limitation?
No think about Ram Limit is Ballistix Micron D9 Fatbody:up: !
The MB is Asus P5K with last bios available on website.
Enjoy the picture!

nice chip m8..... its CPU wall.
i have same but bit higher wall... 465 stock cooling... tested with CO2 cascade and got 2nd wall on 503fsb.

well the FSB is quite a high for this board(any mods on that?), so i'm not sure that it's a FSB wall, it might be a mobo's limit as well... why don't you try to run it on
Gigabyte X38-DQ6
?
Cool job and cool CPU anyway, get it under some serious cooling :)

I don't think it's a MB-Limit, but the RAM could still be a limitation, as Fatbodies like tight timings more than high frequencies. I would recommend testing maxFSB with another kit of RAM, or have you tested your Fatbodies higher earlier?

I own an E2140 as well, but it ain't an OCing dream just like yours.
How far did you get with stock voltage (1.325V in BIOS)? Here a mere 2700MHz. :shakes:

No RAM limitations, I tried also D9 GMH, and that FATTIES goes 1100+ Mhe mhz 4.2.2.4 around 2,50 volts.
Perfect stable on 1,3125 (stock VID) is around 390 Mhz prime load for couple hours.
I "SET" him to work 24/7 on fsb 333 1/1 ram @667 Mhz 3.3.3.3 latencyes @ 2,1 Vdram.
Perfect stable!
niec chip!! :D
Get it cold and keep going :D:D

hes at 457 fsb.. so i dont think that would limit him.. its a dual core, so pretty much every board should be able to get atleast 500 bench stable.
more than 100% oc on stock cooler is sick though.. good job on that. time for some better cooling...

2140 has just better oc than 2160 normally i think if you go through other forums, pity i can only get 2160 now while 2140 pruduct terminated. My 2160 with p35 only can do 433*8 with 1.5v in biso on stock air. 24/7 runs at 400*8
