What's so bad about 'em? Saw a few posts about people more or less "aw shucks" because they got an A2 revision, but when I search for it, all I get is more people annoyed that they got an A2 ...

What's up with 'em?

A2 cores dont clock as high, the Ultra has a A3 core, and then the newer GTS's and GTX's started getting them, you can get 700+ core on some of em.

how does this effect G92 cards? My GT is A2 and REALLY sucks, 675 on core and 1625 on shaders.

I get 730/1800/2000 stock bios volts on my A2 bfg 8800gt oc with a vf900.
B4 the vf900 I could only get 700 stable in core.

do you guys' 8800gt(S) make the high pitched noises when running 3d stuff? I have tried 2 BFGs and both do the same thing.

Yeah they do.
I've had 2 of them from different brands (like that would matter - they all are the same reference design) and they did that. The higher you clock them the more noise they make. :)

the Coils of the Power regulators making noises when put under pressure had this sympthom also with my 8800GTS (G80), but it seems it went away when time goes by, called hissing
