i have had my loop up for about prolly 4 months now and i am just planning ahead for when i go to change my loop around.

first of all i am looking for tubing that stays clear
Tygon B-44-3 seems to be an answer but i am having problems finding it at any reputable places

it is part #5114K28 at mcmaster but it costs alot
if this stuff really is good tho, then i am willing to pay the price.

also, for my mcres and mcw60, am i able to get rid of the plastic bards and put some real barbs in? if so which ones should i use?

i think a lot of people would recommend DD high flow barbs

I buy my B-44-3 Tygon tubing at

http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/variant.asp?catalog%5Fname=USPlastic&category%5Fname=29331&product%5Fid=8477&variant%5Fid=57261

It is 2.56 per foot, but you have to buy in 10 feet intervals.

I have tried all the typical computer places too, but have not found any that sell it.

do you think the tubing is worth it tho? i think i will only need 10ft anyways..

I've always had good luck with Masterkleer 1/2" and Primochill 1/2". I've used Tygon, and while it is great tubing, personally it isn't worth $2.56/ft. Some people swear by it, but I don't see the glow of it.

Not me, I HIGHLY recommend the D-Tek barbs, much better quality and the recessed o-ring.

And I have also had good luck with the Masterkleer 1/2in. tubing. Nice and cheap, Tygon isn't worth it, IMO. (only for really tight bends)

but what if you never have to change the tubing again b/c it doesnt deteriorate..

most tubing deteriorate given time...

if going for cheap, masterkleer is good.
if going for broke, tygon...

you might also like tygon silver anti microbial tubing, if somebody care to test this out?

tygon tubing, lots of variety can be found at sidewinder's...

barbs for you, try Swiftec, then EK's, then Dtek. current rating: Dtek has the best 1/2 high flow barb....

Ranker used B44-3, I believe, and had only good things to say about leaching and discolouration.
It takes time to know for sure if the value is there.
