Whats the best OS to run for Gaming

Sometimes when I play, Ill be shooting my gun and it will skip, or ill be running and it skips.. or turning a corner and it skips for a split second.. how can I cure this..

Also, should I be using FAT or NTFS file system?

Abit KX7-333 [r] - not using raid though

gf4 ti4600
512 MB PC2700

If you plan to play only recent games: WinXP
want to play older games too: WinXP / Win98se (dual boot)

Or use winxp in win98 compatibility mode.

Yup, It's not gonna happen on XP. At least not GTA but I did get Driver to work ok. But GTA is the only old game I have that wouldn't play on it. (And I've got some OLD ones)
And the compatibility mode is just worthless IMHO.
