Small Connection Problems

XtremeSystems have been helping me with many of my problems and I thank everyone who reply to my threads....

My problem is that I always get small connection problems everyone once and a while. Probably 5-10 minutes, I get a sudden disconnect and reconnect. This causes my online games to lag a lot and then come back to normal. Is this a Wireless Problem or is this happens because it's my computer?

Could be either really. If you have some software running that likes to glitch things up every once in awhile (ie. antivirus), then look at that... but wireless isn't exactly what you call reliable either. I'd start disabling software to eliminate that as a source and go from there, or alternatively connect via a wired connection and see if it still happens.

do what serra said, then after it maybe worth checking the uptime on your wireless router incase it is rebooting.

I've had this problem for a while. I reformated my computer a while ago and I still had this problem so I don't think software or any programs can cause this.

I do have a old cable that connects my computer to my wireless router. How can I switch to the cable instead of wireless?

EDIT: Nevermind, the cable help boost my connection and now i'm getting perfect connection speeds. No lag! Thanks!
