the use of this DVI cable

I have this samsung LCD with DVI cable and I connected it to my Radeon 9600, how come nothing appears on the screen? but when I use the RGB connector cable it works fine.

Analog is definitely better than staring at a blank screen.

I think I will use analog for now.
