View Full Version : need urgent help: my new computer won't boot

ok i just got all the parts i needed and started to build it.

here is a pic of what i have done so far: http://i14.tinypic.com/6jew9ba.jpg
when i turn on the psu, nothing happens; the pus fan doesn't even spin. I know the wall plug works because my monitor turned on using the same outlet.

am i :banana::banana::banana::banana:ed? or am i missing something?

specs:
enermax liberty 500w
gigabyte 965p-ds3
e6550 + true
HD 3850
supertalent 800mhz 2gig
lg h62n
WD 3200aaks

It needs to be wired into something with a power button such as your case. You can do that or either put a jumper in a certain wire of the power supply, but I'm not sure exactly how you do that. Simply turning on the power supply will not work.

find the 2 pins that say "power switch" in your motherboard manual and arc them with a screwdriver or something, should power up just fine.
