I'm going to order a pc (probebly today) but i'm not sure if I should order it as planed or maybe wait 2 weeks or something for the new Max III
some of the components -
P4 2.6C
Abit IC7
2 * Corsair XMS PC3500
watercooled

now, I would really like to hit 3.6GHz with these system, will the max III lead to a noticable difference ? Or I can just use the regular IC7 and with the extra money get another Maxtor HDD ?

it should be closer to release, one Aussie retailer listed the IC7 Max3 at AUD$392

ok, i've also thought about something like this : taking a 2.4 instead of the 2.6, the Geil 3700 ULD kit instead of the corsair,
and the IC7 max III. that way i'll be able to run 300FSB (5:4, memory at 240) and still get that 3.6 i was looking for. only problem is the memory timings, but i'll guess that i'll be able to overclock them a bit (Geil usually require tons of voltage, but that wont be a problem with the new mobo) and lower the timings.
plus i'll have a better overall performance because the FSB will be higher.. what do you say ?
