I have here a p4c800, ic7-g and an 4pca3+... will eventually get an 8knxp later..

I have a 3.2 ghz p4 and unmodded prometeia mach I.

Which mobo is the most stable at cpu speeds >4ghz?

OPP; macci .... HELP!! :D

p.s.: and i mean STABLE, not just doing a few benchmarks .... i just want 4ghz 100% rockstable..

i've not had problems getting my 2.4c upto 3.91 stable, i cant see it giving any problems to a 3.2ghz, thats with a 4PCA3+

You just happen to have got the 3 best boards to do it, try em all, and tell us what you get, it would be a good example.

There should be no problem for u to get 4 ghz stable with a 3.2ghz. Im confident the Epox 4pca3, Abit ic7, or Asus P4c800(-e) can do the job. My P4c800-e can do 4.2 ghz rock stable. Your memory will play a main factor .

Ive had great luck on the ic7.

But any of the boards should do fine. As NyCUndaGrounD
said, its probly guna be a mem issue, or just the proc doesnt have anything left in it.

I think they all can do 4 Ghz with an prommy.
You have to focus on the contakt on the cpu.

Here what you do:

Remove the 4 dots on the black mounting frame around the
cpu. Make sure, that the metal holder is down, and can't move,
use sone strips under as FUGGER adviced.

Then put a nice thin string of the black stuff around an a little
AS3 on the cpu

Then
;)
Take a lamp close to the cuppercoolingelement for 10 min,
to heat the copper. Then put it on, you get god contakt the stuff float out to a thin layer.

Check the temp in windows under bench, it must remain under +5 to 0 degree. CoreVolt of course as low as you can. (1.60Volt ?!)

In a few days it becomes better and then you have your 4Ghz. :toast:
