plain old white toothpaste. rub the toothpaste from outer edge to middle, and buff that scratch right out.

Proble is that hte laser is deflected the wrogn way by scratch..White toothpaste is an abrasive, but if you go form outside egde to center, the deflection will be something that the reader can deal with.

Depends on how deep the scratches are tho...if VERY deep, you'll need a repair kit

i'll give that a try

the scratches are pretty deep though....

does it have to be plain white toothpaste or any toothpaste?

I'd say download the ISO but seeing you live in Aussieland you probably have a download limit. Try the Epic CS, maybe they'll help you out, and contacting ASUS might be a shot in the dark.

Good luck if you're going to decide to contact Asus. You'll need it.

i will have to talk to the guy who sold me the burner first he will handle the dealings with asus... he's a great guy... so hopefully i get a new burner and a new copy of ut3 its a long shot!!!!

If I were you, I would try to find an ISO of the disc and just burn yourself another CD. This is not illegal because you rightfully own a license to UT3.

Well they say their not responsible for any missing loose items. So I guess if you need a carrying case repaired and you leave your laptop in it, their not liable if the laptops missing

yea, but id still like the to be able to play it. it is about the best game my laptop can support. i travel a lot and sometimes i like to play UT while im out.
