Hi everyone,,I love flight sims but my current system ruins them..I am in the throes of building a new one as follows...Core2 Duo E4500 CPU..Asus nvidia 8600GT 512...2 x 1 gig DDR2 667 ram..550 watt PSU on XP Home SP2.. I cant decide which of 2 boards to use, P5K-SE or Gigabyte P35-DS3L , both have P35 chip..Does anyone have advice regarding best quality, reliability, after sales warranty by each company and suitability of the above specs for Flight simming...This is hardly Extreme, I know, but it is where my budget allows me to go..Thanks..

The GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L looks like a good, solid board to use with that processor. It's got a good track record. Problem is, FSX is very CPU-intensive. You'll have much better luck with FS9 with that setup.

The E8200 2.66GHz Wolfdale 45nm processor is supposed to debut in January. It has 6MB L2 cache compared to 2MB on the E4500 and a 1333 MHz FSB compared to the E4500's 800 MHz. This Penryn-family processor is projected to sell for about $150.00 - not much more than the E4500's current price. P35 boards should be able to run these. You might want to wait.

Should be perfectly compatible, only compatibility issues we're hearing about lately is with the new quads and the 680i chipset.
