I would like opinions, I have just bought one qx 9650, I assembled it on watercooling
I arrive at 4,80 on Sp1M with 1.650V

Is is a good clocking for a qx9650?
or just decent cpu??

Clocks look good but I would be careful with that high voltage. It's not a 65nm chip. ;)

Lower your voltage. 1.65 is not safe on water. Max 1.6. Prefer 1.5-1.58v for longer life on the 9650. Otherwise you chip seems very good. I can't get much more than that even on phase.

1.65 Geez!! Do you have an extra 1K to spend in a replacement Yorkfield?

1.65v on that thing is like putting 1.75v on a 65nm Core 2. And I hope you have enough money to buy a new one if it dies....
There's a big reason Intel lowered the max operational and absolute max voltages....

I will lower the Vcore, and merry Christmas with all

The QX9650 is very sensitive with high voltage, so if you do have it at high voltages, try not to have it there too long

I would pay great attention:D

I would test in a few days my second qx9650 batch L739A643:D

go for it if you have the money/a second chip. we're on xtremesystems ;.)

:D it is done, I had of it one in gift (L739a640) and one (L739a643) which I bought

I would also test them under lightspeed and cascade
