Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 under Thermalright 120, Scythe Infinity, or other super heatsink tower (save your money for a Q9550 or so in 1Q2008)
Abit IX38 Quad GT
Two kits G.Skill 4GB (2x2G) DDR2 1000
Two ATI Radeon HD 3870
Windows Vista Ultimate 64
PC P&C 750 Quad

if you have the money a QX9650
Evga 780i
2x 8800GTS 512mb
PC P&C 750 Quad
do you like the mozart case?, with that kind of money you could watercool your whole system as well.
and why wait for a Q9550 if he can afford a QX9650.
if you want to go watercooling, have a look at this setup if your new, good for a quad and 2 GTS's
http://www.petrastechshop.com/pecosliel.html
and if your going air, thermalright ultra-120 extreme is the only way to go.

I'm really haveing trouble deciding on a case. I want a very good one. Coolmaster has a new Cosmos comeing it is called 1010 it now has a fan in the side door. Also have been thinking about a Mountain Mod and the Mozart. I'm just really confused!!!!!

My recommendations:
CPU - Q6600
mobo - Probably Asus Maximus SE
RAM - G.Skill 4GB DDR2-1000 kit (@ the egg for $114.99) Buy two kits if you want :D
Video card - Radeon HD 3870 CrossFire or a single EVGA 8800 GTX, use the step up program when D9E rolls out in February or March
PSU - Antec TruePower Quattro 850
Case - Really up to you. If you want to do air cooling, then the Cooler Master Cosmos is a fine choice, but if you want to adventure into water, then the SilverStone TJ07 or any Lian-Li full tower. Mountain Mod cases are good too, if you like cubes.
Vista Ultimate x64
I don't have much expertise when it comes to water cooling, but you definitely want a Dtek Fuzion CPU block and a Thermochill rad

Why do people love Antec Quattros so much? Jeez, guys, it's Antec. That should turn you off immediately. :p:
I'd go for a Corsair HX620 PSU, Seasonic, Zippy, Etasis, one of the new OCZ units, but Antec would be one of the last brands I'd go for in an enthusiast build.

I heard a lot of problems on Quattro 850s not powering 8800GTXs. Was that just an early rev issue?

Might have been.
Zippy wouldn't be a bad choice, but they're hard to come by :yepp:

Thanks for all you sugestions. I will definately get the PC Power & Cooling 750 Quad for sure.
Case-Cosomos 1010 or Lian Li PCV2100B Plus II
Boards I"m considering
Abit IP35 Pro
Abit X38 Quad
Asus Maximus Formula
Asus P5K-E
I really want to run 8 gig of ram. I don't think the P5K-E will handle that much Ram.
Any and all sugestions welcomed. Thanks

After looking over your system, just grab a Corsair HX620. Despite what some people say, PC P&C PSUs aren't that great. There are much finer choices available for the same price.
Definitely get an Abit IP35-Pro if you don't have any plans for doing CrossFire. If you do, the Abit IX38 QuadGT is what you'll want. Abit is back baby!! :D

go for the maximus or dfi x38 t2r, or if u have $3k get the maximus extreme and some cell shock ddr3
as for grafix flight sim x is really rendering intensive and not texture so an ati card would be better look at a pair of 3870, and there is a free dx10 patch for flight sim so make sure that u get vista x64 in biz or ulti

get the MSI 8800 GTS 512, the core clocks are 730Mhz out of the box for that card, overclocked already and under warranty.

I'm going to suggest Radeon HD 3870's as well. Everything else looks good--though I would personally recommend Arctic Cooling MX-2 and Arctic Silver ArctiClean (their thermal material remover and surface purifier--much, much, MUCH! better that cleaning & scrubbing with Isoprophyl Alcohol, paper towels, and cotton balls/q-tips). I will never regret that... the ArctiClean removed Intel's thermal grease from their heatsink within 2 minutes (start to finish--both parts of it).
Anyways--a few Scythe S-Flex fans and some Yate Loons would probably be best, all in all.

Any brand really. I have a Diamond HD3850, but any brand should do it, really. The bundles don't even vary that much (for the 3850s... DVI to VGA, DVI to HDMI, XFire bridge, and HDTV to Component).
NewEgg's Radeon HD 3870s (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010380048+1069633099+106792462+1067933729&name=Radeon+HD+3870)
Even a 3850 would do quite well in that system--if you want to move the HD 3870X2's later.

yes; see wot new cards come out early this year i reckon.
and 3870 is a v.good single card anyway.
best option for scaling with 2 cards; even tho i dont think dual card setups are a good idea. (cept for those with 24-30" monitors )
also unknown exactly when next uber cards will hit and just how good they will be...so 3870 cf is tempting. buying one now you have the option later depending on what happens with next gen cards :hrhr:
on the other hand there is gts 512mb with "step up program"? :ROTF:

Ah--go with the Radeon 3870--for sure. As it is--they're cheaper and ought to hold you out quite well until something really blows it out of the water. The 8800GT is barely anything and the 8800GTS costs ~$80-100 more for a small boost.

Water CoolingWell I"m going tp change things up a bit. I have decided that because I"m upgrading for a 875 that I"m going to skip DDR2 and go to DDR3. Should give me a better upgrade path.Going with the Bonetrail board now I just have to decide what will be my best Ram choice and aslo going to take the plunge into water cooling.
