Talked to Tats at tekwerkz today and my Mach II finally arrived after clearing customs.

It will be a while before I can play though...it's shipping tomorrow to bowman's secret labratories for modifications! Between shipping time to bowman, time for his mod work, shipping time back to me, it will probably be 3 to 4 weeks till I get my baby in my hot little hands...but worth the wait.

By then the IC7-MAX3 will be under the Prometia powered by R404a running a P4 3.0 most likely. Life will be good.

Let the games begin! :D

I hope Master Bowman cand find the fix for the "Fail Sensor uFA Bug" that most of the MachII seems to have.:(

Yeah Pedro - had seen that prior post about the sensor problem and discussed that with Tats earlier today. If anyone can find it bowman can. Unfortunately, I believe he'll only be testing the top case with evaporator, compressor and not the whole package due to shipping costs, etc. So the windows software from chip-con won't be a part of the testing.

We plan on keeping all informed as time permits, before and after mods, etc (totally dependent on bowman's time of course). After I recieve the modded unit back from bowman, I plan on doing lots of hardware testing via phase change with different configurations, etc.

Chip-Con should be back from holiday soon so maybe you'll hear back from them too, if do please post.

Thanks.

Steve

This is the one thing that's keeping me from ordering the Mach II. I want to know what the cause and resolution of the sensor problem is. Since warranty repair involves shipping back to Denmark from the US (for me) I would hope that the probability of me getting a bad unit would be low.

Thank you, I will do that..

But the software is not at all necessary...if the unit have the "Fail Sensor Bug" the red light on the back of the unit will turn on, and don't even turn on or initiate the boot process. (sometimes the sensor gives the error before the temperature reach -33 and stops the process immediately)

If you have the LCD you see the error message there, if you don't have it you just see the red light on, and a non working unit, the software only works on Windows but first you will need to be able to start you computer..

I keep you informed about Chip-con response (they holidays period ends today) , although there is some recent changes in their support staff, I believe they still have a good support service.

In my opinion Chip-con's support service have been one of the most (if not the most) important factor of their success and reputation..

Pedro - my thanks for putting this problem into words so well.
It will let all of us at xtreme help solve it along with Chip-Con support.

Life is good - prommy has shipped via Tats and on the way to bowman (since ground shipping won't be there till the 11th though :(

The Lian Li and different cpu kits, seal string, LCD display, etc will be at my place in 2 more days.

Now I just have to wait and watch bowman perform his "magic" - I am so pumped!

Ok won't hijack my thread anymore.

k|ngp|n - nice job on your rig, looks awesome and great cable management, can tell you spent the extra time making it right.

What kind of speeds are you pumping out of your rig? The windows also add an extra cool touch.

LOL@major....

Unfortunately, if I dont stop playing with my puter.....it might be my only honey :) Just can't seem to get away from her...the computer that is.

Right now i can get 3.94 stable but I need 1.825 vcore to get there :( thats a bit high for my liking. MY processor just seems to need alot of juice.

1/2 way there now...my PC 65 arrived today from tekwerkz, along with the AMD & Intel CPU kits, extra seal string, aluminum conversion kit and the green LCD display for the prommy. The Mach II continues enroute to bowman in Virginia for mods...just a matter of time now (gleefully rubbing my hands together).
