Hi guys trying to figure out whether my board is maxing out or the cpu. Currently got a q6600 that can run 3dmark @ max 438FSB any higher and windows just wont load even with sudicde voltages of like 1.65(on water by the way)

Whats a good mobo to OC this chip should I just wait for X48? NO SLI for me in the future didnt reak the benifit of it with DUal GTS's fine with my current 1 Ultra

I have had decent luck with my 680i SLi. What stepping is your Q6600?

Anyway you look at it if you want to buy an X48 then wait for it as it will be the best choice more than likely. :)

Not all boards will let you OC same. You have to be lucky little also to get good OC'er board. I did RMA mine 3 times until now and not all of them did as high as the one I have right now, but I'm again RMA'in it :( since I got the two --Dashes :)
Anyways good luck :)

My 680 board will push my Q6600 over 4GHZ but its hard to keep stable over 3.6. I have found that the mosfets with the small heatsink get very hot and the board loses stability after that. I have a good board that will do 500 FSB all day though so your board will have to be a good one.
