I currently have both cards and am only keeping one. Please help me decide.

Which card overclocks higher at a stable 24/7 level?

Thanks in advanced for the feedback.

You own both. Keep whichever one performs better. Simple, right?

I'd keep 8800GTS SSC, the same Stream processors with extra RAM.

Depends on your res.

At high res the GTS SSC outperforms the GT. (hardware canuks is the only place i have seen a review)

The SSC is a decent card but has been completely overshadowed by the release of the GT.

I imagine the GT will have a stronger resale value as the SSC is based on the older architecture.

Out of the box these 2 cards are very close in performance, but what I didn't like about the GT was the downgraded cooling. The GT with stock cooling is 80-90 degrees which is a little much IMHO.

After my benchmarks I decided to keep the GT and add some more fanpower and it idles at 53 and tops out at 64.

With a 24/7 OC I ended up with core/shader/memory clocks of 700/1750/1050 from the stock 600/1500/900, about a 17% OC.

The 3Dmark06 score went from 12700 to a 15200 (+20%)

Thanks for the feedback.

I'd say 8800gts ssc if your run 1600x1200 or higher.
