got a floppy drive and a bunch of disks, downloaded the latest bios pack from abit for my nf7-s 2.0 and unzipped it to my floppy. now when i boot it says press alt-f2 to start awdflash.exe.... but then it just beeps and says cant find awdflash.exe
i checked the floppy and the awdflash.exe is there with all the other files on the disk... i tried to boot with a boot disk and then enter awdflash.exe, but it seems i cant boot from a floppy? it always says bootdiskfailure or no os on the floppy...
i can access the floppys without any probs from windows though, do i need to chnage somethin in the bios to boot from the floppy? i mean besides setting it as my primary boot device...

Make sure that your floppy is the first item in the boot order. Then format a disk with Dr Dflash (http://download.sudhian.com/faq/kt7/downloads/Misc/drdflash.exe) . It will make a boot disk then add the necessary files to the disk.

Can't you just use Abits Windows flash utility? I think you can. It has worked for me several times on the IC-7 board. Go to Abits site and see if they have it listed with your bios file.

you mean awdflash.exe? dunno something was weird with the floppy drive...
i just flashed to the new bios, works great so far.
i formatted the floppies and then wrote the files on them, but now the floppies were unformatted??? really weird.... well i formatted them again and wrote the files on them again and the alt-f2 worked fine!
weird... i hate floppies... :p:

No, they have a new 1 button utility that is idiot proof. All you have to do is download it and you can choose to either have it look up the file for you, or you can point it to the file on your drive.

cant find it...
sure they have it for amd boards?
dude my nf7-s is buggy as hell! ill get an 8rda+ 2.0 or 2.1 i think.... bios crashes all the time, sometimes a multipklier works, then it doesnt... sometimes its stable with a certain combo of fsb, multiplier and voltage and then i set it to exactly the same speed again and it doesnt even boot... i really had it with this board.
