Upgrading

I ordered a 8800GT OC last week, and it should arrive tomorrow (damn weekends), and I have a question. I have never actually upgraded a graphics card alone before, and is there a process that I should follow?

Im upgrading from a x1600, and I know I need to remove the drivers and everything, but the only guides I can find are from 2k4 or earlier (Link (http://www.tweakxp.com/article37536.aspx)), and I am wondering if the process changed.

And I got this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814127311) card by the way, it was the cheapest in stock at the time.

I use the control panel to uninstall all ATI software, and reboot into Windows. After it's running without a driver, shut the machine down. Turn everything off, flip the switch on your PSU off, and swap cards. Boot back into Windows and install the Nvidia driver.
