Okay, I know someone is gonna say their is a thread on this already. But I have a different goal. I do not want to 'double' my internet transfer speed by combining two internet connections. Here's what I want to do:
1 PC
2 NICs (say named A on DSL and B on Cable)
2 Programs (named A and B)
Program A use NIC A.
Program B use NIC B.
Running Windows XP Pro. Possible?

To be honest, I doubt it.
Your PC is not going to know specifically where to send what data.
I'm not a MS Networking guy, so i could be wrong. (If its a Cisco question, now that I can answer. ;) )

I am curious on this as well.
What else would be the purpose of dual ethernet connections?

In case you break one, use the other? :p:

Bridge them, routing.. etc.
Actually I was thinking about this on my way home. It may be possible, if one connection was always going to the same internet address.

You can assign each interface preference for different destination IP addresses via route.exe (accessible via the command line). Consult google for the proper syntax.
Now, if one of them doesn't go to the same destination IP all the time, you could still do it with port numbers in theory... but then you'd have to look at buying a router or some form of add-on software.

1x Internet-facing,
1x LAN-facing (ie. for gaming)
was the original idea on this for consumer products.
