Have you changed the Bios time clock. Thats what happened with me . The clock kept being different but it was because the bios was wrong.

Yup....and then the screen shot I attached (above) of the command line executes at windows load and syncs my workstation with the domain server's time....every time. I think it's attached to my user profile somehow....but I'm not a network/server guru so I really have no clue. I do know that once upon a time, I disabled the "windows time" service and it worked. I've since quit my job....and then came back two months later....and they reactivated my user account but disabling windows time service doesn't stop the command from executing.

I was hoping there's a way I can disable that from happening every time I log on.

However, I had the same thing you mentioned happen to me at home....had to change the BIOS time and all was well. Thanks.

Go into that file and edit out the part you don't need.

If it's a script running from the u: drive, it would suggest that you're on a domain and that's a logon script setup by the network administrator. It's probably something you'd need to take up with your IT department.

Yeah, yeah, I know....but I don't want them to know about it.:D

They do scheduled virus scans that bog my p4 way down (maybe that's what they utilize the synced time for)....so when I had the service disabled, I was doing them manually when it was convenient for me. Plus the server time is like 10 minutes slower than the time clock:shakes: ....this is the real problem.

Oh well.

What if I disconnect from the U: drive? I don't need or use it for anything....I can't see anything on there anyway.

Thanks

It's been a while since i was a sysadmin, but I think it'll just reconnect next logon and run the script again. These things are defined against your user account in AD.

You could always complain to your boss that your PCs not fit for the job and that they either need to change the scan times (in a big company, good luck!) or give you a new PC!

I managed to get an upgrade from a P4 to a C2D because the integrated graphics on it wouldn't run two monitors... :)
