Vista x64. Don't listen to all the crap on the internet about it.

Unless you need DX10, I'd stay with Windows XP. I tried both and find Vista really annoying. It takes a lot of tweaking to make it bearable.

Yes only vista supports dx10. On the other hand you should consider couple of things before you proceed. Games on XP usually run faster except very few made specifically for Vista. Most people say games using DX10 doesn't look any different except again very few of them. I played Bioshock and Coh:OP in both Vista and XP and only noticed few subtle differences between DX9 vs. 10. Crysis, for example, is one of the games that you can really see the difference however with a huge FPS cost. I rather use DX9 and be able to play it than being on Vista and watching a slideshow.
Just a couple of things to consider before decide.
yes but you are forgetting 64 gives you a few extra fps, so that should make up for the difference between xp and vista, not to mention, in the long run, vista will be the better choice

Head over to the futuremark forum, there is an updated version of opengl for Vista 64. You are talking Vista here, right?
Edit: Okay, I'm kind of bored right now.
