Erroneous DDDT results

I got a bunch of errors yesterday from DDDT WUs; I found this in result log:
INFO: No state to restore. Start from the beginning.
ERROR: Restoring checkpoint failed. Unable to restore state!
Could someone explain what's that and what causes it?

I've gotten errors as well. Likely bad batches of work units.

Yup , I have errors on DDT workunits too. 2 pages
It's on all my machines so most probably a bad batch.

As SB has pointed to in the WCG link - a bad batch of DDDT is doing the rounds - I am now being sent alternate work on my machines, so the Techs are obviously aware and dealing with it.

I have some 300+ errored units now, so I have asked if we are going to be given credit for these, and also whether they are going to send out an automatic abort script for units not yet crunched in our queues, and also to ensure we don't get our machines penalised if we abort by being given reduced amounts of work.

I suggest folks make sure they tick the boxes to receive FAAH or HPF work at the current time.

Here's the latest It looks like the validator for Dengue Fever decided to mark a bunch of results in error. We are looking into why that happened now so that we can prevent it in the future. However, we will be able to re-validate those workunits so everyone should be able to get their credit and have the worked used correctly. I'm working on that now.

Hmmmm - maybe it wasn't the validator after all - this will take some digging. I re-ran one of the workunits through the validator and it still generated an error.

Well, at least they're "looking into it". Wonder if they've done anything with the HCC points issue. Saw the post about reissuing projects for some platforms, but that was another issue.

No problem, such things can happen. I deleted all of my DDDT units for now. Pity about the work not being done, but I do want decent units to crunch.

It appears they have also stopped validating DDDT units until they can figure out the problem. I now have 17 pages of pending units.

It seems like DDDT distribution has stopped, my quad has finished all DDDT WUs and is downloading HPF only for several hours (i didn't change the profile).

Yes, that seems to be the case. I wouldn't lose all hope regarding the work units with errors. WCG may decide to grant credit for them.

Ok - it is odd but there was a bug in the DDDT validator that didn't manifest itself until now. That has been corrected and we are re-processing the results that were incorrectly marked as an error due to this.

Aborted all my DDDT units and updated profile to not accept them for now until the problem is worked out.

I haven't had any listed as having errors or invalid or anything. I just have the rather annoying HCC points problem :( Still crunch them though, I hate cancer!

All of my work units that generated errors (eight pages worth) were moved to the pending validation section and appear to have been validated. So life is good again.:)

I have about the same...I have 2 Quads now and have got the points of less than 1... :rofl:

I just like it when I get good results...not a good feeling with so many errors. :down:
