My current specs are

q9650 @ 4.2ghz
2gb Crucial Tracer PC2-8500
Asus Maximus SE
8800gtx

My problem is I have a 30" dell monitor and trying to run Crysis at anything more than medium is impossible. I was thinking of selling the GTX (while its still good money) and replacing it with 2 x ATI 3870 in crossfire. Iam I bieng silly? will it run in vista? should I wait till next year and keep the GTX and just buy another 8800gtx and a new motherboard?

I appreciate your comments.

Thankyou

honestly you should just stay put with what you got right now and wait till new cards come out.

also crysis is a power hog and even rigs with 2 8800 GTXs SLIed struggle with it on high resolutions and high settings

Ya, I'm not sure I will even attempt to play alot of the new titles until a new "category" of performance gpu's is on the market.

I like my games smooooooth :)

Stick with what u have.

i've read the benchmarks and dual 3870's are only a little faster than a single 88GTX. it wouldn't be worth the trouble. i know upgrading is fun, but you can't do much to improve on what you already have in your box.

PS Super Dank, i think i love your avatar.

If you have a widescreen reduce your game resolution to 1280x800 (Best) or 1680x1051 and set everything back to Very High (Make sure its on full screen mode).... Ooo and OC your card...
