I'll be working on adding my NB and gpu into my loop on friday, but would like to get some question out of the way so I can prepare for what lies ahead.
1. Does the EK FB8800 block work nicely with dtek highflow 1/2in bards instead of the supplied ones ?
2. Exactly how much thermal paste is suopposed to be placed on the gpu core ? Ram ?
3. Which loop order would work best: cpu > NB > GPU or CPU > GPU > NB ? I prefer the second method because it doesnt involve a sharp bend form from cpu out to nb in. But im unaware as to wether the water exiting the gpu block will heat up the nb much.
4. Lastly, what the best mix ratio for G11 ? I'm looking to get the best blue witout going over board with it.

1. The D-Tek barbs will be fine. Barbs are mostly personal preference (except for the thread type of couse).
2. Put a small dab on the core and get a plastic bag and spread the paste around until the whole core is covered. Same with the RAM. Make sure it's a very thin layer.
3. Second method.
4. I think it's 5% to each gallon?

actually 1 might be wrong. the barb screwin section cant be longer then the plexiglass thickness. EK's are kinda stubby, so you need to double check how thick the screw in part is. And if its too long, you cant use it or your gonna give yourself a super restriction.
I agree with ^^ on #2
#3, which ever leads to the shortest amount of tubing is the correct answer.
4. Get a blue dye instead, i dont see you mixing metals, and copper is a natural antimicrobe. <unless your running cold cathode lamps inside>
The most additives you should put in your coolant is ~ 10% or a 1/10 mixture, i believe anymore will hurt your performance. The performance of straight distilled is still the best tho. You'll honestly get bored of the colors, or the color will absorb onto the tubing over time.

Hmm, well, my D-Tek barbs barely make it through the acrylic of my Micro-Res, so the threads are pretty short...

EK barbs mostly fit into my mcres micro, haven't leak tested it though, (thin o ring with my ek barbs from last year)...
pc ice additive/dye thing blue looks nice... but still distilled with ptnuke is the best...

thats why i said 1 might be wrong. Because it might be correct. I havent pulled my dtek barbs in a while

Good thing I asked about the theraml paste cause I thought the cpu methos applied here as well. I'll be sure to double check the size of the dtek bards to the ek ones when I get them. As for the additive, I've been running green for about 10 months now, at this point im ready to change it asap. Petras site listed g11 as being capable of producing 40 fl oz. but im not sure how colorgul this is  . I did get some of pt nuke as well due to running cc lights.

Using D TEK barbs with my EK-FC8800GTX block. Works great with the included spacers.

Yes, work great if you don't forget to include the spacers.
