Hi folks

Is it possible to install Vista Ultimate OEM on the same machine twice but different partitions without activation issues or will MS throw a wobbly
i.e. I want one install to be just general and the second to be just for games and game demos (minimal services, stripped down install)
I've noticed in the past that no amount of defragging can stop a system slowing down when you install/uninstall a lot of game demos,
update drivers constantly, etc.

I would probably ghost (acronis true image) the second partition after activation so i could bring it back fresh every 3-4 months
to keep game performance.

I do this with my current pc & xp home, but i don't have to activate because it's a Medion and has motherboard activation.
Feel a bit stupid asking this question but i read a lot of horror stories regarding OEM and MS.

Thanks

That would constitute two separate installations so technically you would be outside of the license, however... You may or may not be asked to reactivate since it is the same hardware. FYI - this is applicable to both OEM and retail licenses. You need a separate license for each installation.
