Folks, I have never done anything worthwhile to brag about in all my years of overclocking, so bear with me on this one and don't laugh at me too hard. :D No optimizations, no nothing. Just plug and play.
Set to 890/1404 in Riva  :yepp:
Cooling: Thermalright HR03 (You must remove the copper RAM sinks or shave them down to fit this cooler facing down).
BIOS: The PLL modded BIOS kindly provided by guess2098.

It failed at 1420 (hard lock) but I'll have to try 1410 and see what happens. I just hope wizzard can fix ATI-Tool to up the GDDR4 voltage. I'm sure there is a lot more. Just so you guys know, I placed my had on the RAM sink while running 3DMark06 and it was just a bit warm to the touch. I'm gonna go home and attach a Temp probe to the sink to get some hard numbers.
I can tell you that this card is definitely not limited by cooling either on the core or on the memory. It runs about 15 C cooler than my x1900xtx!

any reason you run the bench at 1280 x 800 instead of 1280x1024? not trying to start a war or anything, just something i noticed when comparing to my system run.

Here is the weird thing guys, I'd really appreciate any help in this regard. :(
No matter what bloody resolution I choose either via CCC or Rivatuner it ALWAYS shows up as that crap 1280 x 800. IDK WTF to do...same issue with my x1900xtx...
This is the main reason I have not submitted any scores to hwbot with this card. Steps I took:
Re-installed drivers
Re-installed 3DMark
Reinstalled Windows XP
None of the above and combinations worked. I'm at the point where I just say f-it and use benchmarks as a personal score-sheet.:shakes:

What resolution are you choosing in 3dmark06. It defaults to 1280x1024.

I'm using the free version, so I can't choose a resolution.

i have the same problem with my 3850 when playing dark messiah and whenever i try to change it it restarts my comp havnt a clue why tho.
Nice clocks on stock volts! Is 890MHz completely artifact free in ATITool after many hours? As far as the resolution problem, I'd highly recommend you running Driver Cleaner / Driver Sweeper because simply uninstalling from Control Panel doesn't seem to clear everything.
You have a HR-03, so do the voltmod :). Should be able to bench at 1GHz easy with 1.5-1.55v

ATITool is not detecting the card or the driver. It just goes blank or errors out. These clocks are not game stable. I get a VPU recover every 20 minutes.

Those are sick SM2 and SM3 scores for the clocks you used compared to my R600. It looks like the high memory clock pays off
EDIT: omg, just saw he cheated with resolution, noob.

He said he's useing the free version and you can't change the resolution on that one. 1280x800 must be a glitch/malfunction.
you can't change the res on any of the free versions, that's why its free, they want you to buy the software, they have to make their money somehow

I edited my post. I was trying to say the mafunction was on his end and I don't think he intended to bs us.

You know whats wierd....I just ran 06 with my new 3870 and got only 2800 on the cpu score, where I used to get about 3020 or so. Any reason for the 200 point drop?

What monitor are you using and what is its native resolution?
You can enable LCD overdrive to get around it iirc. If you can find an option for "Pan and Scan" it'll work as well...

Bastard. Beats my 640mb GTS by 1000 points...
That disapoints me. I only get 12,150 :(
