OK. So I noticed that the 'System' process in taskmanger shows that it spikes to 10-11% every 5-10 seconds. This is clearly not ideal. I've gone so far as I can myself. And google isn't pointing me in the right Direction. What you guys think?

Try Whatsrunning (from download.com) (http://www.download.com/What-s-Running/3000-2094-10256718.html?part=dl-WhatsRunn&subj=uo&tag=button) to get a better picture of what's going on under the hood. If you suspect malware that your av/firewall isn't picking up download Security Taskmanager (http://www.neuber.com/taskmanager/)
Also, for these sorts of things, try posting something to an existing thread in the team forum with a link to your primary thread.

Ya! i reckon I know what it is. The Wireless adapter on this Asus Premium. When i disabled it System process went back to ~0%. Now that is re enabled it.... System has gone back to spiking... so dodgy Asus Driver? Seems also the Asus wifi siftware might be causing it too. More to come...
