So i come to you guys, from my experiance you guys know your :banana::banana::banana: and i am at a loss... Help me please...

Ok so i have started to get this random lag, i think it is lag. When i straff anf run forward. I also get it when i move forward. the best way to describe this is, when you are running next to your teamate, you know how you slow down, and the screen shakes a bit. it is like that.
My choke and loss would always be at 0. my FPS would be at 80-150.
Now my loss goes to 0-4, my choke goes up to 23 back to 0 or even as high as 50+
my FPS go as low as 50.

I have...

8800GTX
Q6600
2Gb Ram at 800

This just started to happen and i do not know why.
I run fine in COD4 and Crysis, 2 much more demandind games then CS:S
I have uninstalled Cs2 times
a third time removing everything, every file, steam. HL2, everything to do with CS.
I have tried cl_updrate, Cl_cmdrate, rate.
Turned off Xfire.

CAN ANYONE HELP ME?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling your display drivers, or updating to the latest drivers? Does this happen on every server, or just the one you usually play? Have you tried (and I hate even suggesting this) running the game with your rig not overclocked?

Eliminate some variables and let us know if it helps... I've had problems like this, and the only way to solve it is to logically go through every possible cause, however unlikely each of them is.

Good luck, man.

display drivers for the game? No i dont even know how to do that.

It used to be just this one server, but i think it is every server. it is crazy b.c it isnt really that bad, but after running perfect and smooth, it bugs me. I have freeed up a lot of Ram, I deteleds the .cfg file.
The only thing i could think of was a few power outages ive had at my house. within teh week there weer like 3, with some power fluctuations. but I figured it cant be that, because everything is running fine.
I even reset my router.

I believe it is CS, bc Crysis and COD4 run fine. and well CS is not demanding on my computer at all compared to those games.

can you tell me how to fix my display drivers.
my nvidia is on the latest driver i know that. i dont know if cs has some kinda of dispay driver. or if u were talking about my video card.

thanks.

No, not display drivers for your game. He's talking about Drivers for your Video card. Go to Nvidia's site and d/l the latest Display drivers for your video card then try that. I can almost guarantee you that it's your drivers that are screwed up. Follow the simple directions on Nvidias site on how to install the drivers and you'll be just fine.

No, it isnt that. I have already updated those drivers. I did it again jsut to check. Plus like i said Crysis and COD4 work fine. so this leads me to think that maybe cs is messed up?
