Hi there guys

Im in need of help, making a computer for my 9 year old sister, who likes to randomly click stuff, shes brought a whole system down before so Im looking to safeguard it.

Running Win XP
Heres how the Systems Setup

Admin - Admin
User - Limited

Heres a list of things I need gone

Task Manager
Run Command
Control Panel
File Properties

For Control Panel im simply gonna go into taskbar properties and take it out.

Task Manager, I have disabled but theres a bit of an issue.

I need help disabling Run Command (In a Limited User Account only)

And File Properties disabled, again only in a limited account.

The Task Manager issue.

When disabling Task Man with gpedit.msc it disables it for the whole computer. Alll Administrators cannot get access.

Have tried Disabling in Admin, which disables all, disabling in User, when user is set to have administrative privelleges, which also disables all, disabling in Limited, which doesnt work cos you don't have access.

As a temporary soltuion
I have
Gone into admin and disabled task man, So no-one can get in, installed a procces explorer onto admin, which limited user cannot access.

Is there any way around this, without having to install third party software, where the Admin has access but Limited user has not?

Other things.

Does anyone know how to disable the Run command for a limited user, leaving access in an Admin account?

Also

The same for File Properties? I have network drives setup which I wouldn't like fiddled with, and for the safety of her system

Thanks for any replies :)

To get Task Manager to work only for a desired user, and not for others, go to C:\Windows\System32, find taskmgr.exe, right click it, select Properties.
Go to the security tab, remove the users group, and then press Add.
Add the username your sister will be using, and then select it and click on Deny ( for all ).

Job done.
