Next week is finals, and then my one month winter break :woot: Bad thing is during that time my crunchers will have to be shut down since I can't leave them running at the dorm while I'm gone :( So starting next monday I'll be telling my rigs to not accept any more work so they can complete what is in their queue (they queue up a few days of work) and then it'll be a month of 0 output for a little while :(

At least I'm not a heavy hitter or anything so it isn't like we'd be losing to easynews again while I'm gone ;)

You could always take a couple of the fastest machines with you. With a power inverter, you could even run at least one of them off of your car battery.

I'm sorta joking. I'm sure you have good reasons for leaving them where they are.

edit - have fun and don't break anything if you go skiing.

Thought about that, I might try but don't know if I could pull it off. The other issue of course is I have them rather boxed together so that makes it a little interesting transporting them... Maybe I could take the triple box with me perhaps, we'll have to see. One of the issues is space in the car - a camaro doesn't have much trunk space ;)

Yea, I am..Besides, his GF is better looking than either of my daughters so they're safe! Besides, I taught them to take care of themselves.
If the eye gouge doesn't work then it's the forarm straight up to the fifth floor and jewelry..:p:

Too bad they try to give it to you up the *ss when you want to rent only one way. Anyway, it's probably best not to screw with it. I just had that experience with my network. Kept all the same components and cables and just tried to rearrange things - well that's one wasted day that I'm never going to get back.

Nice try. I'm not buyin' it.

Sparky, have a good holiday!! Just come back ready to report on the new additions to the "cardboard palace".....:D If you ain't paying a power bill on the dorm room, I may have some items for you to "host" there.....you provide the cardboard..

EDIT: ...and of course, you take the score....

No new additions planned until summer (unless I save a few damaged parts from a dumpster and get my soldering iron going :hrhr:), once summer comes we'll see what is available then. I don't directly pay the power bill here, I just pay the room&board fee and get as much electricity as I want. Well, until I pop a breaker... :wasntme: Hasn't happened though... yet! ;)

I did find boxes that look like they'd be great for systems though, Xerox paper boxes! The lids lift off so they would be easy to get in and out of unlike my current setup. I have a practically unlimited supply of these things, my work gets a ton of paper :D

Now you've got me curious bob....
