View Full Version : When Wolfdale meets 8800Ultra = 101K 3DM01 and 325K in Aquamark
Hi to everyone.
I was in HIT 2007 event in Russia and I had an opportunity to play with some new hardware :D
Wolfdale E8500 ES. 566MHz "fsb wall"
Asus P5E3 Deluxe
Kingston DDR3 memory: 7-6-6-20 ~840 :(
Nvidia 8800ULtra (900/1242)
The setup running 01:
68136
Temperatures during session 1 CPU/ 2 VGA:

Nordling and me:

And then the results. We had huge problems after 01, so no other 3D test unfortunately :down:
Aquamark 315K:

And the 3Dmark01 101K:

01 was runned with 5320 and then I upped the CPU speed to 5350 and run only car low again and that's it.. 101K :D It was nice to bench in front of all those people.
In the future we will see a lot scores above 100K, cause these CPU's are really strong.
Thanks to Topmod.net for inviting me to Russia. Special thanks to DeDal who was great help while benching. The trip was really nice and sure, I will come there again.

Thanks! Yeah, wolfdale is impressive CPU and the price will be very good when they are out :up: Can't wait to bench more with these.

Nice scores. Nasty women. I'm 100% sure they could've find russian women looking 20 times better then those. They save'em for car show's i guess :)

Too bad, that we were not able to run other 3D tests. 03 was almost finished before it crashed and that was last run without bigger problems.

We didn't test this Wolfdale anything but LN2. So I can't say nothing about overclocking with air / water. They should do ~4.5GHz easily, but there is the same problem with these than E6850. It is the draw of luck who gets the highest fsb.

My QX9650 just left from Taiwan :yepp: I hope it will clock high.
Oh, by the way. Drivers were 169.04 while running benches.
