Call of Duty 4 - Single player question.

I'm just wondering if there is a way to change the difficulty in single player even if you are already a decent amount in? I went veteran mode and had no problems but now I am at the TV station (specifically in the TV room) and I'm going nuts. I must have tried this section at least 20 times so far but dying by only 2-3 shots and with every enemy having (seemingly) and endless amount of grenades it feels impossible. For the record I have tried just about every angle, path and play style to try and get past it too.

Lol, if you think that the TV station is hard just wait, it gets alot harder.

What i do when i get in downstairs i run to the rooms on the left hand side and shoot ppl in the head from there and toss a few nades, whilst taking ppl out from the side always keep an eye out for the guys with the RPGs on the balcony and take them out quickly.

haha, i worked my way in a clockwise fashion. worked well. i'm doing veteran mode now i think. "one below extremely difficult". wait til you get to the sniper level where you have to fend off guys waiting for the helicopter.

wana know the cheapest trick to do that one?
at the other side of that big wheel thing (dunno english word for it) is a huge fence with a hole init.
Just go to the other side of that fence and from there shoot the bad guys. Most of the fence is closed so use the gaps to shoot from and cause u can easily take cover there the bad guys will have a hard time killing ya. O and seems the captain cant die.

just hide in one of the little side rooms, and shoot them through the window

Thanks, i'll give it a try. i have been sitting up on top of the base of the ferris wheel, shooting . works well til one or 2 get close enough to start throwing grenades. Then i'm :banana::banana::banana::banana:ed ;)

That TV station part was hard, especially with those RPGs. What I did was let my men go in first and I charged all the way to the other side of the room and just camped from there. It took me at least 3 tries to complete that part on hardened.

My 12 year-old son is a little sh*t, he beat the whole game on veteran using only the pistol!!
I have beaten the game on veteran but it for me was hard as hell!!! But that is the fun part.
