He says he has a 64bit/32bit windows Vista Ultimate DVD. Will his disk automatically detect that he has a 64bit CPU and install the 64bit version? Is there anything he needs to do to make sure it installs the 64bit version? Will it simply ask him?:shrug:

yea I personally dont know cause I have never even LOOKED at a vista OS yet.

If its retail, it will have one disc with the 32bit version and another disc with the 64bit version (its labeled on the disc).
