hi, all
i am a oc noob here, i just spent about 2-3 days playing with my system, and just now, finally got some results. i am not too sure if this is considered fine or bad or normal. so id like to post it here and get some ideas.
heres my system:
c2d e6750 running @ 3920mhz(390x8)@1.568v in cpuz.
asus p5k premium
crucial pc8500 @1176 5-5-5-15 @2.2v
cpu is watercooled.
temp is 38c idle, 68c underload.
prime for 30 minutes stable.
i have put 1.6v vcore in bios(about 1.59v in cpuz), but still cant get 400x8 stable for 30 minutes.
anyhow, anyone can give me some idea how this oc is? is there anyway i can get it running higher or get some improvment?

priming for 30mins doesnt quite equal to a stable system.
you should try get at LEAST 5-6hours before your able to say
that the system is stable.

Also 1.59vcore is too much for 24/7 use, drop the oc down to like 3.6-3.7 and lower the vcore, you wont be able to notice the difference. The only difference you will see is if you run benching programs which doesnt matter anyway

ya, ill prime it tonight when in im in bed. at least for 8 hours.
funny thing is i can running this chip at 3800mhz(475x8) @1.440v in cpuz stable(prime95 stable for 10 hours).
but for 3960mhz, it needs another 0.12V..
maybe, ya, ill take it back to 3800mhz at a much lower vcore...

That's an awesome chip you got there. Mine goes to max 3656Mhz using the max vcore i can give it with my mobo (1.59v bios - 1.55v/1.51v idle/load). I'd keep it at 3.8 with 1.4x vcore.

That's a nice oc. If it was my chip, I would think that 68c might be pushing a little too hard. That comes from the large amount of voltage it took to get there. I really wouldn't expect it to last like that.

I'm aiming my OC for ~60c after hours of stable dual-priming. Right now my lapped 6750 is doing 3800mhz with 1.55v @ 62c. That's under a lapped Tuniq 120 with a very small bit of as5. First time around I had a little too much as5 in there. Thining it down dropped my temps 4 degrees.

Has anyone else got an issue with the latest cpuz on G0 1333mhz conroe's.
Won't read x8 multi, only x6?
Vcore is all right, though.
