I think you can use any oil but im not sure.
Maybe someone can make a list and put it in a sticky ?
with butane you can use either poe or mineral oil.. I would choose the mineral oil since it's ALOT cheaper, like 1/5th of the cost for poe.

MSDS of gas should have it... just search R-600 MSDS

Average viscosity for a recip with a normal refrigerant is 150 sus hydrocarbons are super miscible with the oil and thus tend to thin it, so we go a step up 200 sus or so.
So with the facts that average for a standard CFC in a recip is 150sus & a hydrocarbon is ultra miscible in a Mineral oil we should shift the viscosity index up to make up for delusion ie 200sus.
So basicaly, when you select an oil for an HC refrigerant nock the viscousity index up by a couple notches, it calls for 200sus go for 250sus
if it calls for 150sus with a cfc use 200sus and so on. It is the HC refrigerants tendancy to dilute the oil and thin it, couple ways to help keep that to a minimum is a crank case heater or pump down system.
I would all so avoid minerol due to its extreme miscibility Use Alkyle Benzene (AB) or PolyOEster (POE)

so what i get from all of this is that it would be OK to use mineral oil but would be better to use POE
