I have 3 monitors, a 21", 24" and a 17" that I would like to hook up to my current rig.
Is there way any to do this with a NON-SLI Setup?
I have an x1900xtx and a 2400hd pro. The 2400 will run a 17" monitor (no or little stress on it, not used for gaming).
Any drivers out there available for this set up? I don't want to buy another video card. I also have a 32mb pci ati card, but its a POS and used as a last resort if I can't get video with a rig.

yeah just plug them in, install drivers and it should work. just check the catalyst options when you hook them all up
also SLI is nvidia only, crossfire is for ATI cards. they do the same thing basically but are completely different under the hood.

Yeah, I just use "sli" and a general idea, lol, my n00bness. Yeah, Crossfire is out of the question.
I thought that having two ati cards w/ one catalyst driver would spell doom? Hmm...

no catalyst is the optimizing tool, the card drivers are separate from each other. i can tell this because when i looked in my catalyst panel it had drop down menus for picking between cards

I pulled in the 2400hd pro, instead of having 3 monitors, my 2 large monitors are now both set as monitor 1 (sort of like mirror images of one another) while the 17" runs as the 2nd monitor.
So, I'm a little dense tonight. You're saying I need to download the drivers for the 2400hd pro as well and that should be enough to make it work?

yep and just make sure to tweak the catalyst and monitor settings to how you want them
